Welcome to Japan. On arrival at the Narita International Airport, you will be greeted by a Thomas Cook Tour Manager/local representative at arrival hall area, who will assist you to transfer to your conveniently located hotel in Tokyo. Check into the hotel (after 15.00 hrs) and spend some time at leisure. Start your tour of this exciting city with unique experience one of its kind digital art museum – Teamlab. Discover a world full of wonder and beauty with a ticket to team Lab Borderless Digital Art Museum. The museum uses digital projectors to create animated artworks which move on the walls, floors, and ceiling. Interact with these stunning pieces and watch as they move and respond to you. Tonight enjoy a delicious dinner at Indian restaurant.
Today after a sumptuous Breakfast, enjoy a guided city tour of Tokyo. Start your tour with a visit to Sky Tree first observatory ,an opportunity to view the city of Tokyo from a height of 350mts from the observation deck of Tokyo Sky Tree, the tallest tower in the world. Later visit the Asakusa District known for its renowned Sensoji temple, a very popular Buddhist Temple that was constructed in the 7th century. You also have some free time at the famous Nakamise Shopping Arcade where you get a chance to try local snacks and buy Japanese souvenirs. Enjoy your Indian Lunch. Later drive pass the Imperial Palace. We visit the shrine dedicated to the Guardian Deity of Land – Hei Shrine. This evening enjoy some free time at Ginza, the High end Shopping Street. Tonight enjoy a delicious dinner at Indian restaurant.
After Breakfast visit the Bonsai Museum, worlds first publicly run museum dedicated to bonsai art. It boasts a collection of more than 120 bonsai masterpieces and bonsai-related artifacts such as bonsai pots, miniature landscape stone called suiseki, books and woodblock prints, etc. Proceed for Lunch at a Local Indian Restaurant. After Lunch visit, Edo Museum, housed in a unique looking building. In an interactive way experience and learn various aspects of Tokyo during the Edo periods such as Architecture, cultural heritage, commercial situations, Life-sized figures and numerous models of town, vehicles and items previously used. Today after a sumptuous Breakfast check out & proceed to Miraikan - The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation is a top destination for science enthusiasts and futurists. With fascinating exhibits and events, this museum is a great place to discover how the world is changing. From robot demonstrations to explorations of the solar system, there are plenty of activities available at the museum. Don’t miss the demonstration of humanoid robot ASIMO, or the life like android Otonaroid. Afternoon enjoy your Indian lunch & later proceed to Omiya ward in Saitama city to visit one of Japan's most popular museums attracting record numbers of visitors – The Railway Museum. Japan is a nation connected by rail, and the Railway Museum is a celebration of the country's rich train culture. Not only is the museum filled with both models and actual trains, but also interactive displays covering both the history and technology of rail travel, providing a fascinating look into all things railroad related. Evening take train from Omiya station to Sendai station. Arrive Sendai & check in to Hotel. Enjoy your dinner at comfort of your hotel.
After breakfast start your day by exploring this largest city in Tohoku region. The modern city of Sendai was founded around 1600 by Date Masamune, one of feudal Japan’s most powerful lords. Visit the Zuihoden - mausoleum of Date Masamune. Zuihoden was designed in the ornate style of the Momoyama Period. It features intricate woodwork and a rich variety of vivid colors. Massive cedar trees surround the paths in the area, and are meant to symbolize the long history of the Date clan. A museum beside the Zuihoden main building shows some of the personal artifacts of the Date family, and even some specimens of their bones and hair. Later visit the Sendai City Museum which possesses precious collections such as a 401-year old armor and helmet depicting Sendai's history and Important Cultural Property. Post lunch Uminomori Aquarium one of the largest and most modern aquariums in the Tohoku Region. Alongside impressive, large display tanks, staged dolphin and seal performances and a penguin enclosure, the aquarium features sealife from around the Miyagi coastline, including exhibits dedicated to oysters, a local seafood staple Evening free time to explore The Mitsui Outlet Park Sendai Port is the largest outlet shopping center in the Tohoku Region. The outlet hosts over 100 stores and restaurants, including several large international name brand stores
Today after a sumptuous Breakfast check out & drive to Matsushima a beautiful town in Miyagi prefecture. It’s known for the hundreds of forested islands that dot Matsushima Bay. Visit the grand Zuiganji Temple was built in 1609 & Entsuin Temple known for its moss, rock and rose gardens, and for its colorful fall foliage. Later indulge in tea ceremony at Kanrantei tea house of the ruling Date family which once served samurai, princesses and royal guests. Enjoy matcha green tea and sweets while viewing the gentle rippling waters of Matsushima Bay. Post local lunch you get chance to truly appreciate the beauty of the picturesque Matsushima Bay by getting on ferry to enjoy the close-up view of the islands. Later in evening give some free time to explore Matsushima’s coastline & enjoy the scene at your own pace.
After breakfast check out & proceed for local farm experience – enjoy the fruit picking activity & get chance to indulge in farm to plate kind of lunch this afternoon. Later drive to Sendai & take train back to Tokyo. Evening free time for last minute shopping & dinner at Indian Restaurant
After Breakfast, check out. Proceed to the airport for your flight back home. Arrive home with pleasant memories of your tour, which we are sure you will treasure for a lifetime
